Owner, General Manager
Doug has been climbing and teaching climbing for over 30 years. He has climbed dozens of 5.13 and hundreds of 5.12 climbs. In the early 90s he established over 50 first assents at the New River Gorge and discovered and spearheaded the development of the climbing at Summersville Lake. Although he is known as a sport climber he has actually spent far more days placing gear than clipping bolts. Doug was a founding and managing partner in Sportrock Climbing Centers in the Washington DC area. In 1997 he sold his share of that company and moved with his wife Page to Charlotte. They opened Inner Peaks the next year.
Page has worked in the climbing gym industry for the past 15 years as a route setter, instructor and gym manager. Her personal climbing has focused on sport and competition, with accomplishments including 5.12 on-sights and a top-30 national competitive ranking. In addition to her duties at Inner Peaks, she is married to Doug Cosby—her business partner and co-owner of Inner Peaks. She is also a full-time parent to her two kids, and maintains a regular yoga practice.
T has been with Inner Peaks since the climbing gym opened in 1998, working in just about all capacities including, but not limited to: managerial, youth and adult instruction and route setting. Her experience as a recreational climber, both indoor and outdoors, has provided her with the knowledge to help climbers in meeting their goals. As Office Manager, she is also the go-to person for just about anything, but particularly anything about your membership needs.
Director of Operations
Nate grew up in south Georgia, where he spent as much time as possible outside. He was introduced to rock climbing at 18 when he went to college in Vermont. During school, he worked as a climbing leader for his school’s outdoor program. After college, Nate moved to Colorado, where he worked first as a gear rental office manager and then as a wilderness therapy instructor. Now at Inner Peaks, he is excited to be back in a climbing-focused environment.

Born and raised in Concord, North Carolina, Amber spent her childhood in the woods, exploring and climbing trees but was introduced to the climbing scene while working with high-ropes courses in the team development program. Amber came to Inner Peaks in 2011 working as a part time party staff but has grown into the role of Director of Youth Programs. “It’s so awesome getting kids pumped about climbing and teaching them how they can improve and watching them reach their climbing goals,” says Amber. While not coaching climbing at Inner Peaks, she spends her time with her hobby/business of photography and graphic design. Amber is looking forward to working hard and helping kids better themselves in climbing.
Facility Manager, South End
Cedric started climbing on plastic in the late 90s in a small dark gym in Dallas, Texas, but he didn’t get fully immersed until he moved to Utah. Now, 20 years later, he is able to bring his love and enthusiasm for the sport to Charlotte. Ask him your questions for he is not afraid!
Jordan was born and raised in Winston-Salem, NC where she lived through high school. She attended UNCW for undergrad as a Psychology and Communication Studies major, and also spent a semester abroad in Australia before moving to Charlotte. She has climbed sporadically over the years but started climbing regularly as an Inner Peaks member in early 2013. In her spare time she enjoys climbing, traveling as much as possible, live music, reading, camping and being outside.

Grant was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. He grew up exploring and spending most of his time in the great Pacific Northwest. From spending summers in the frigid Oregon coast, to winters on the beautiful Mt. Hood, he has always tried to give his time to being outside in nature. Grant believes that nature is the ultimate classroom and loves being pushed to step out of his comfort zone.
