DAYPASSES

First time climbing?

We recommend that first-time climbers wear comfortable clothing that allows freedom of movement. Shorts are fine, but no "short-shorts" (the climbing harness will feel very uncomfortable) or blue jeans (it’s hard to move).

Kids & adults can easily climb in a pair of comfortable tennis shoes. However, we do have specialized climbing shoes for rent that offer more secure footing on the wall.

Adults? We can get you climbing right away.  Kids?  We may have some special steps you'll have to follow.

If you have any questions about attire please feel free to contact us.

 First Time Climbing for Adults

Have you been curious about climbing and want to give it a try?  We can get you climbing right away!

For just $26, we can get you climbing in about 15 minutes.  You will need a minimum of a daypass ($13), harness ($4) and gri-gri lesson ($5) if you have never climbed before, with shoes ($4) as an optional rental.

Climbing is a partner sport.  You'll need a qualified belayer (the person handling the ropes) to climb with you, so make sure you bring along a friend or other adult to climb with.  You can come anytime we're open and your daypass is good for the day, so stay as long as you like!

All participants are required to have a completed Inner Peaks Waiver, so if you're under the age of 18, make sure your waiver is completed and signed by your parent.

Any groups of 9 or more participants must be scheduled in advance.

The Alternative College Night

Now every Wednesday:  Present your current College ID and climb for just $10!

Get a Daypass & Harness rental ($17 any other day) for just $10!

Depending on your climbing experience, there may be a one-time $5 belay lesson on your first visit but it'll just be $10 for any other College Night visit!   Climbing shoes are optional.

Take a BREAK!  Come climb with us on Wednesdays!

HOMESCHOOL DAYS:

Inner Peaks Homeschool Day will be the second Friday of each month from September 2008 through May 2009. The upcoming dates are as follows:

2008:  September 12th, October 10th, November 14th, & December 12th
2009:
January 9th, February 13th, March 13th, April 10th & May 8th

Here's how it works:

Check-in between 1PM-3PM to get the discount, but families are welcome to stay as long as they like after they check in.

The cost will be $10, which will include a day pass for the child, a harness for the child and a harness for the supervising adult. This is $9 off the regular price, for a savings of almost 50%.

Adults and older teens may also climb for the $10 fee as long as they are a member of a homeschooling family. There is no charge if you only plan to belay*.

There is a one time $5 fee if you need the gri-gri lesson*, a quick 15 minute lesson on how to safely use the ropes in the gym. Supervising adults must be safety certified. Either you can pass the belay test if you already know how (no charge) or you can take the gri-gri lesson (takes about 15 minutes) for a one time $5 fee. A climber must be 12 or older to take the gri-gri lesson.

A parent can belay for more than one child, they just take turns. With really young children this can be a problem, as the parent's full attention needs to be on the child who is climbing. If the other non-climbing child needs supervision as well, there will be safety issues.

You could bring another person's child, but be sure the parent has filled out our Inner Peaks Waiver and sent it along.

Need directions?  Inner Peaks is tricky to find and not visible from Monroe Rd, so be sure you know where it is before you set out.
