Sponsorships from Evolv and Scarpa will be awarded to three deserving Train Wreck Tour participants who have competed in at least one of the first two stops on the tour and also compete in the final stop. Extra consideration will be given to participants who climbed in all three events.
So you think you can crush? Always wanted to live the rock star lifestyle of a professional climber? Well, now is your chance to prove to Evolv that you have what it takes. Evolv is offering two grass roots level sponsorships to the finest male and female plastic crushers on the Train Wreck Bouldering Tour. Here’s how it works:
These positions will be awarded to one man and one woman at the discretion of the Evolv representative. The recipients will be selected from among the top three finishers in each category (Beginner, Intermediate, Open) who have competed in at least one of the first two stops on the tour and also compete in the final stop. This sponsorship includes a shoe budget (TBD), swag and the prestige of being a Southern Fried Team Evolv member for the remainder of 2014. Consider this a fast track to the top. If the winner should wish to stay on the team then they would be subjected to the reapplication process for 2015.
Scarpa will award one grass roots level sponsorship position to the Train Wreck tour MVP. Applicants should climb a lot inside (outside helps too), attend many local/regional events and be a strong presence in the NC climbing community. The winner will also have a positive and approachable attitude and be encouraging at the gym, competitions and at the crag. They should love Scarpa and be willing to learn about upcoming and current products. Applicant must compete in at least one of the first two stops on the tour and also compete in the final stop to be eligible.
First opportunity to score is February 8th at Iron Palm Bouldering in charming Asheville, NC. Check out the hotel special from Four Points Hotel.
